Just finished the 20th and final episode of this drama.

Notice the red ribbon. I guess you guys know what is the main objective of the drama right? This Singapore drama mainly talks about the life of an AIDS patient. :o Among all Singapore dramas i have watched, I think this is the most touching one (i was in tears while watching the drama ):, and i never skipped any of the episodes.). This drama met the objective - create awareness, educates and warns people about the dangers of AIDS. Many people have this in mind that AIDS is an easily transmitted disease and they even think that they will get infected just by handshaking or any other non sexual contacts. However, this is SO WRONG. D:

Some facts on AIDS:

 AIDS can be transmitted in these several ways:

• Sexual Contact (Most cases resulted from homosexual contact)
• Transmission in Pregnancy / Breast Feeding by an infected mother
• Exposure to contaminated blood or blood products
• Needle sticks among health care professionals

 The early symptoms of HIV (depends on individual):

• Headache
• Tiredness
• Nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Enlarged lymph nodes (neck, armpits, groin)

Later symptoms of HIV/AIDS (Usually after many years):

• Dry cough
• Rapid weight loss
• Swollen lymph glands
• Recurring fever and night sweat
• Pneumonia
• Red, brown, pink, or purplish blotches on or under the skin or inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids
• Memory loss
• Depression

HIV destroys the white blood cells that are needed for our body immune system. As the white cell count falls to dangerous levels infections, this is the point that a person is said to have AIDS.

Cammy's Birthday

Opps i guess i'm the latest one to post about cammy's birthday. ;x I was busy shopping and playing with cousins yesterday and just came back from HELP's open day today! I'm doing UOL (University of London) external program in Accounting and Finance next year March! Confirm already. :D

Last Friday was the last day of exam. I think i did kinda badly in my EMA paper. Anyway who cares about exam anymore! Its Holiday! ;D I'm going to Shanghai on the x'mas eve, 24th of Dec and will be back on 1st of Jan 2010. A very new experience for me as this will be my 1st time celebrating birthday at overseas. ;D


MAIN TOPIC:

 After exam 5 of us ciao to Midvalley to meet up with Cammy to celebrate her birthday!! :D Hmm what can i say about her.. Nothing bad at all i guess! x) She's a very nice and polite girl. :)

My papa came back just now and passed us somethings. Guess what, its our X'mas present from my eldest bro who is in UK!! :D The sheep is so cute!!! Bao kor actually noticed that 2 of the insects were mating. =.= Too bad my grandmama swept them away before i manage to snap the pic. Haha.

Yes all the tiny tiny black spots are the insects. Still got lots more in the rice. I'm wondering whether i have any of them in my stomach. =.= Yerrrr.

Tadaaa!! The 200th post in my bloggie. x) Sorry for the lack of updates peeps. Having my final exam this week. :o Finished 3 papers and the last paper is on this Friday. x( Very very important as it determines whether I can get scholarship or not next year. x(

Last Saturday after my Moral Studies exam paper I went to Taiping with my family. To attend my cousin's wedding. :) To tell u guys very honestly, I don't really know most of my cousins from Taiping, even some of their name. ._. This is because  we seldom (or i can say do not) have the chance to see each other even during CNY and also large age gap. :( We only see each other like once in 4 or 5 years? Sad to say. x.x

You guys must be wondering why my cousin doesn't look like chinese. She's a Chindian! :D She used to come to my house when we were kids and played Barbie dolls together. I'm glad that i have the chance to spend the whole night talking to her after the wedding dinner on Saturday. :) We shared so many secrets among each other and crapped and laughed like mad. Not forget to mention, she's a great dancer. :D She can dance Hip Hop and ballroom dance as well. [She learnt all by her own by using CDs]. Wow. *.* She has a very cool hairstyle, cut by her own!! [even Elysia's hair was cut by her] I love it!! x)

My foundation course is going to end by this FRIDAY. Time flies a lil bit too fast? >.< I will definitely miss my dear foundation friends!! Keep in touch k? :)

Gastric causes diarrhoea and vomitting?

I did not attend college today. I had a bad night last night due to bad stomach cramps, diarrhoea and vomitting. My family thought that i had food poisoning but that's not possible at all. Coz everyone is just fine, except me! And all of us ate the same food. Then mommy thought maybe it was the santan that caused this. Mommy was so worried about me and she took care of me the whole night. [thanks mommy! :)]

This morning I had fever. Then mommy brought me to the clinic. According to the doctor, it wasn't food poisoning, but gastric. I was like, HUH?? Gastric will cause diarrhoea and vomitting?? I just googled up some information on this and these are the info:

- Known as Norovirus Gastroenteritis or Gastric Flu.
- Gastroenteritis means inflammation of the stomach and intestines. 
- Caused by infection by certain bacteria, viruses or parasites. It may also be caused by certain medications or medical conditions.
- Symptoms: Nausea,  vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, headache, muscle aches, and a general sense of tiredness. [i had all these symptoms last night ):]

- Cannot be treated by antibiotics. Should drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.


Hope i can recover asap. ): Final Exam on this coming Saturday and Physics quiz tomorrow. Wish me luck! ):

2012

Watched 2012 with my family today. Actually I wasn't interested in watching this movie at 1st, as i heard many negative comments about it. However, now, I think the movie is nice! [if you don't keep on thinking that  everything looks so fake] :D [Anyway, i still don't believe that the world is ending so fast :s] 

I like this little girl!! Her name is Lilly. I love her eyes! x)

The Daddy's eyes also nice. x)

Few lessons from this movie:

• Before the year 2012, you must be rich! Not millionaire, but billionaire. [Only the rich can survive.]
• You must have power and status in the country - Politician/ President.
• Be a geologist! Or a scientist! [They will bring you to escape along!]
• You need a good driving skill. [Learn to piu yi!]
• Learn how to fly a plane. [Very important when the ground is cracking!]
• Appreciate every moment with your family and loved ones. [Life is short.]

Day Out at Pavilion

Hung out with Moo Moo today at Pavilion. :) We wanted to watch 2012 at 1st but the tickets were selling so damn fast. =.= So last minute we decided to watch 'A Christmas Carol'.

This movie is awesome!! I love it!!! :D I think the old man, Ebenezer Scrooge is FREAKY. ._. Well not gonna blog on movie review here. Watch it then u'll know! ;D

Regretted that i didn't bring my camera today. Can't take nice pictures. All from phone camera. :(

Fully red carpeted. Looks like another CNY. x)

Lunch at Ichiban Ramen. Hmm~ x)

Tested few colours at Elianto! xP I think the blue one is nice but then.. don't want la. *later parents say like monster* :s Bought 2 of the colours! Guess which one?? x)

Chilled out at MOF before walking home! Enjoyed my favourite Mango Kakigori. :)
